Like all LikeMind's PBX systems, the 240vs is ready to grow. It comes with capacity for 2 traditional telephone lines and 4 local extensions, but you can upgrade its capacity any time. It can also be networked with other LikeMind's PBX units to a maximum capacity of 16 traditional phone lines, 16 VoIP trunks, 64 local and 40 remote extensions.

Unlike most PBX systems, LikeMind's PBX doesn't tie you down to proprietary telephones. The LikeMind's PBX 240vs works with standard analog phones and selected IP phones, so if you already have telephones or want to buy a specific kind of phones, chances are they'll work with LikeMind's PBX. VoIP-ready

The LikeMind's PBX 240vs is configured for 2 traditional telephone lines, but VoIP is just an upgrade away. LikeMind's PBX was designed to handle both VoIP and traditional networks, so when you're ready to add VoIP to your system, it'll be ready for you. That means you're not paying for VoIP you don't need today, but you can easily upgrade tomorrow. If you do need VoIP now, consider the LikeMind's PBX 244vs.

Requirements and recommendations:

For configuration software: Windows Vista (32 bit) or Windows XP or Windows 2000 and minimum 256MB RAM, 160MB hard disk space and 800x600 screen resolution.

Wiring: LikeMind's PBX usually requires no extra wiring beyond the standard infrastructure in most commercial and residential buildings. In rare cases, depending on your existing infrastructure and desired distribution of extensions, some re-wiring may be necessary. Consult your Authorized LikeMind's PBX Reseller or talk to a telephone systems and service professional in your area.

Telephone company services:
Some phone company services can enhance your LikeMind's PBX performance:
Caller ID is recommended but not required.
Hunt/Rollover/Busy Forwarding is recommended if you have more than one phone line connected to LikeMind's PBX.
Transfer and Clear frees a phone line after a call has been transferred to a remote extension.
3-way Calling allows you to use a single line to forward calls to remote extensions, conference calls and access call bridge. If you want the caller to hear music continuously while on hold, we do not recommend using this service.
Telephone Company Voicemail allows a caller to leave a message even if all lines become unavailable.
We do not recommend using Call Waiting, because LikeMind's PBX can’t answer two calls on the same line. The second caller would be unable to access your auto attendants, extensions, voicemail and call cascade sequences.

Feature Description
Auto Attendants Greet callers with recorded messages that offer touchtone choices and connect callers to the appropriate extensions. Its like having your own receptionist. There are 9 levels of auto attendant, so you can offer multiple options for caller interactivity.
Voicemail Built-in voicemail saves you paying monthly for phone company voicemail, and it's centralized, so you don't have to check different mailboxes for cell and office phones.
Remote Extensions With LikeMind's PBX remote extensions, any phone, anywhere, can be added as an extension of the system. Integrate mobile and teleworkers, stay connected anywhere, and give your customers a single number to contact you.
Dial-By-Name Directory Callers can select an extension by dialing the name of the person they want to reach.
Automatic Route Selection Automatically send certain kinds of outgoing calls through specific phone lines. All long-distance calls, for example, can use a specific line or group of lines.
Toll Restriction Prevent unauthorized long-distance calling from any local extension.
Call Detail Record Logging Assign accounts to calls and track time spent on calls for billing of professional services.
Voicemail to E-mail* Receive e-mail notification of new voicemail, with or without the actual message attached as an audio file.
Auto Fax Detection Automatically route faxes without wasting money on a dedicated fax line.
Call Forward Calls can be forwarded to any local or remote extension, to a ring group, or voice mailbox.
Call Queue If your extension is busy, your caller gets the option to leave a message, remain on hold, or return to the auto attendant. At your extension, you get notified of queued inbound calls.
Call Cascade If your extension is busy, not answered, screened, or on do not disturb, calls can be sent through a series of actions, ringing at other extensions or ring groups. With call cascade, LikeMind's PBX can make several attempts to locate you before sending the caller to voicemail.
Ring Groups Send callers to all of the local extensions of a department. Ring more than one extension simultaneously and use different ring patterns to identify types of calls.
Uniform Call Distribution Incoming calls are queued at a ring group if all the group's extensions are busy. Calls are retrieved in the order they arrived as ring group members become available.
Conference Call Connect up to 3 parties on one phone call.
Call Back/Call Bridge Access your office long distance savings plan from anywhere around the world. Lets your long distance savings plan travel with you.
Music on Hold Play music or announcements while callers are on hold. You control what your clients hear - radio, CDs, even custom advertising messages.
Mode Scheduling Handle incoming calls differently at different times of the day, days of the week and on holidays. LikeMind's PBX can professionally handle calls during and after regular business hours.
Call Hold/
Transfer/Park		 Hold calls. Transfer calls to local or remote extensions, ring groups, or voicemail.
Call Screening Records a caller's name, then plays it back to the recipient, who can either accept or redirect the call.
Intercom Place calls from any extension to any other extension.
Call Pickup Pick up calls from other extensions.
